Nature's Plus Lecithin Granules Soy Lecithin Dietary Supplement for Fat Burning and Strengthening the Cardiovascular System in Granules 340 gr

Natural grain soy lecithin, with a content of 95-98% phosphatides and 33% polyunsaturated fatty acids. It also contains significant amounts of valuable ingredients, such as phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin E. These ingredients are not additives, but come from soy, and were not lost during the extraction process, due to the advanced technique used. It does not contain oil.

Common use: One or two tablespoons a day plain or with cereals, food, etc. Do not use high temperatures to avoid destroying useful ingredients.

PROPERTIES OF LECITHIN Lecithin, as it is marketed, is mainly a mixture of fatty acids, which are combined with phosphorus and, possibly, with other substances. The mixture is called phospholipids or phosphatides. This mixture is dominated by phosphatidylcholine choline, which consists of about 15% choline. Thus, the properties of choline are to a significant extent the properties of lecithin, and vice versa. Lecithin in liquid form or in capsules contains a large percentage of oil (usually soybean oil). Granular lecithin contains very little or no oil. The lower the percentage of oil and the higher the percentage of phosphatides, the higher the quality of lecithin. Lecithin is a structural component of cell membranes, increasing their fluidity and participating in the process of repairing their damage. The above shows the important role of lecithin in the prevention of serious diseases, such as liver disease, cancer, neurological diseases, as all the above - and not only - diseases are often associated with reduced fluidity of cell membranes and inefficient mechanisms of repair of their faults.

US DISEASES Lecithin has a beneficial effect on the liver and protects it from diseases of various etiologies and from the harmful effects of toxic substances. Although the hepatoprotective properties of lecithin are mainly due to the choline it contains, it should be noted that lecithin choline (phosphatidylcholine) is better absorbed, better tolerated and appears to have better hepatoprotective effects than plain choline. In two experiments performed on experimental animals (baboons), whose diet included plenty of alcohol for a long time, it was found that most baboons receiving lecithin along with their diet did not develop cirrhosis or fibroids of the liver, with baboons who did not receive lecithin. In a clinical study in patients with hepatitis A and B, who were given 1800 mg of phosphatidylcholine daily, the results were encouraging in terms of the speed of recovery of liver function and the number of relapses. Another double-blind clinical study in patients with chronic active hepatitis C, who were given 3,000 mg of phosphatidylcholine daily, showed a significant reduction in the symptoms of the disease and, in some cases, a complete disappearance of the pathological histological findings.

HEART DISEASES Lecithin belongs to the substances called emulsifiers, which means that it has the ability to keep fats dissolved in water, in the form of fine droplets (emulsions). This is especially important in the digestion of fats, as well as in keeping cholesterol and blood triglycerides in a fluid form, in order to reduce the chances of them sticking to the walls of arteries. Another beneficial effect of lecithin on the cardiovascular system is due to its ability to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase good cholesterol (HDL). So, if we want to assess its beneficial effect on the system, we should consider improving the HDL / LDL ratio, and not just reducing LDL, which, in many cases, is insignificant. Lecithin also helps keep blood carnitine at a satisfactory level. Carnitine is an amino acid essential for good heart function.

BAD MEMORY / ALZHEIMER Healthy people with poor memory appear to be able to improve their memory with lecithin, according to empirical observations and a clinical study in healthy adults with poor memory (Sitaram N et al, Science, July 1978, 201: 274 -76). As far as Alzheimer's patients are concerned, no definitive results have been obtained so far, due to the limited number of studies and the conflicting results they have given. However, from a theoretical point of view, the beneficial effect of lecithin (or choline) on Alzheimer's patients seems reasonable, as these patients have a reduced ability to synthesizeand / or use acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that needs choline to be produced.

LATE DYSKINESIA Tardive dyskinesia is characterized by involuntary muscle movements of the face and is a fairly common side effect of antipsychotic drugs. Choline or lecithin can reduce muscle hyperactivity by up to 50% in people suffering from the condition, according to some studies.
