PROPERTIES OF CHLOROPHYLL Chlorophyll is the green pigment of plants that uses solar energy to synthesize carbohydrates from carbon dioxide and water (photosynthesis).
In vitro and experimental animal studies have shown evidence for anti-mutagenic and anti-cancer properties of chlorophyll, which is probably due to its antioxidant properties or the formation of inert compounds between chlorophyll and mutagens / carcinogens. It also seems to have remarkable detoxifying properties and that it is beneficial in some cases of constipation and in calcium oxalate kidney stones.
PROPERTIES ALPHALFA Alfalfa is one of the richest foods in nature, named for this reason by the ancient Arabs "father of all foods" ("al-fal-fa").
Rich in protein (45%), chlorophyll, beta-carotene, alpha carotene, octacosanol, B vitamins, vitamins A, C, D, E, K. Good source of fiber and minerals (calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc) as well as other active ingredients: isoflavones, coumarins, alkaloids, saponins, sterols (beta-sitosterol, alpha-spinasterol, stigmasterol). In addition to general tonicity of the organism, observations in animals and humans, as well as some in vitro studies lead to the rather safe conclusion that alfalfa has the following properties: It is a diuretic and against fluid retention.
