Use: Arginine is a non-essential amino acid, although many researchers consider it 'conditionally necessary'.
This separation is done because the body can not produce amounts of arginine in periods of rapid growth, in case of trauma and stress. For this reason research has been done on the use of arginine as a supplement to restore growth.
Arginine is also required for optimal growth and is involved in the release of growth hormone. It is the direct precursor of ornithine, which plays a role in the urea cycle.
Arginine also helps remove ammonia from the body, which is produced by nitrogen metabolism.
Various functions depend on the adequacy of arginine e.g. glucose tolerance, insulin production and hepatic lipid metabolism.
Each capsule yields: L-Arginine 1000mg.
Ingredients used in the capsule: Calcium Carbonate, Cellulose Modified Starch, Tablet Coating: (Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Glycerin), Silicon Dioxide, Stearic Acid, Magnesium Stearate.
Dosage: 1 - 4 capsules daily, with juice or water rather than milk. Amino acids are better absorbed when taken half an hour before eating or sleeping. Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
Precautions: This product is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
