For Women with Chronic Telogen Effluvium (CTE).
Florisene® is a clinically designed dietary supplement for women with chronic telogen Effluvium (CTE), a term used to describe intense and persistent hair loss. Chronic telogen occurs in approximately 4.8 million women in England and Florisene is the ideal solution for people (between 18-50 years old) who have this problem.
For the Health Professional, female hair loss can be a complex diagnostic problem that requires specialized knowledge to find the cause. However, this is only true for a small part of these cases (5%). The total number of cases of female hair loss can be divided etiologically into two sub-types:
- in hair loss of genetic etiology or due to diseases of the scalp (20%) and,
- in chronic telogen hair follicles (Chronic Telogen Effluvium, CTE) (80%).
According to research conducted in numerous women, the main etiological factor of chronic telogen is low serum ferritin levels (reflects the amount of iron stored in the body). When serum ferritin falls below a certain limit, which varies from person to person and usually ranges between 40-70mcg, the hair growth cycle is interrupted resulting in an increase in the total number of hairs found in the telogen phase and occurs clinically hair loss. In some women, this leads to gradual hair loss - with the end result of thinning hair. In other women, hair loss is more pronounced, with a greater amount of hair loss in the brush and bath after shampooing. Low serum ferritin levels in women of childbearing age are a very common finding due to both reduced red meat consumption and blood loss during menstruation. It is worth noting that the low serum ferritin concentration does not necessarily mean that the patient suffers from iron deficiency anemia, as chronic hair loss can occur without changing the hemoglobin concentration. Clinical studies conducted on telogen hair follicles have shown that if the serum ferritin concentration exceeds a level specific to each individual, then the normal hair growth cycle is restored. The same studies also showed the importance of taking a specific combination of nutrients contained in Florisene.
Florisene® is a clinically designed iron supplement that contains:
- Iron in fumarate form characterized by high absorption and bioavailability.
- An important level of the essential amino acid L-lysine.
- Two important micronutrients (vitamin C and B12) that contribute to better absorption and utilization of iron by the body. (IRON-SYNERGISTS).
- Two important micronutrients (biotin and selenium), which help maintain healthy hair.
According to some research, low dietary intake of the amino acid L-lysine can worsen reduced ferritin levels. In addition, clinical studies show that in some women ferritin levels do not improve without L-lysine supplementation. Florisene® is a worldwide patented formula and is only available for pharmaceutical and medical use.
Instructions for use:
Assimilation time: Less than 1 hour. Suitable for vegetarians.
Dosage: 3 tablets daily for the first 6 months. Then, for maintenance, 1-2 tablets daily or as directed by your doctor. Women who experience heavy blood loss during menstruation or eat little or no red meat may need to take 2 tablets daily as a maintenance dose. Florisene® should be taken with water half to one hour before a meal or on an empty stomach. It is best to avoid drinking beverages containing milk, or tea and coffee within one hour of taking Florisene®, as these beverages affect the absorption of its ingredients.
