Citicoline, when administered orally, is hydrolyzed by natural biochemical processes, supported by vitamin B6, converting it to choline, a molecule commonly found in the human body. Choline in the body is a natural precursor of phospholipids involved in the formation and repair of nerve cell membranes. In addition, choline is used by cells to synthesize acetylcholine, an essential neurotransmitter for transmitting nerve signals.
B vitamins, and vitamin C contribute to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
