Roger and Gallet

Merchant Charles Armand Roger and banker Charles Gallet founded the French perfume company, Roger & Gallet, in 1862 when they bought the perfume business from the family of Marie Farina Jean.
Farina's uncle Johann Farina produced a very special perfume which was sold since 1806. Although they used their names, Roger & Gallet, to launch their new products, their old customers remained loyal to the Farina name, while the new customers discovered Roger & Gallet.
Already in 1700 Johann Farina had created a very special product on which the Farina family built their business. Roger & Gallet relaunches this unisex fragrance, inspired by the original Eau de Cologne Jean Marie Farina, the official supplier of Napoleon I, and through the authentic know-how of distilling rare natural ingredients, but this time under the name of Jean Marie Farina Extra Vieille which is still available today.
At the same time, Roger & Gallet manufactures perfumes for men and women with a lavender and orange scent which were launched in 1899. Popular perfumes are made for women that contain floral scents, while 'Roger & Gallet Open' is a notable cologne for men.
